Membership Details

A subscription in business law is useful for businesses that want access to an attorney without wondering "How much will this cost me?" All of our premium plans provide access to our attorneys for quick legal actions. 

Yes, but litigation is not covered under any membership. Membership will give you attorney access, so we're happy to discuss the case and help form a plan, but any substantive work will be a Project.

Consultations are scheduled through the Membership Portal and are for 15 minutes regarding new legal issues with verbal consultation and advice.  We ask that the issue be a new and unique legal issue, although we reserve the right to allow for a same issue to use multiple consultations.  A consultation does not include any drafting or follow up work, only the time for the consultation and advice. If additional work is to be completed, then the attorney will either provide a flat fee for the Project or indicate if the Project is hourly with an estimate of cost to be placed into a retainer.

We don't want you to have to determine whether or not an issue is "worth" calling your attorney. We want you to call us so we can help prevent big problems.

Your business has legal needs. A monthly price eliminates the need to go back-and-forth on pricing before we start working and eliminates the uncertainty of post-paid hourly work and the wincing when you go to open that bill.

When you're part of our subscription program, we are fully invested as your legal team and are actively looking to help before you realize you need us. After all, if you don't use us, you'll probably cancel, so we're incentivized to find ways to help you.

All of this means that we're a relationship firm, not a transactional firm, and we want deep, long-lasting relationships with all our clients. If you're looking for a one-and-done, we're probably not the law firm for you.

We work with growing businesses of all types, from the solopreneurs who are just starting to businesses that employ dozens of people and earn over eight figures in total revenue.

The following services are NOT offered by the firm and are NOT offered as part of the subscription services: tax, bankruptcy, patents, family law, and probate/trust administration.

Our policy is to schedule all attorney appointments through our member portal so that the attorney can dedicate 100% of their attention to your issue.

In order to best serve our clients, we can only accept a limited number of clients to our subscription legal services. If you are interested in our subscription plans, please contact us to learn more. If we are unable to accept you immediately, we will notify you when we have additional openings for new subscription clients.

No, hours and review times are earned for the month at the start of the month and do not carry over.

Generally speaking, our availability for consultations and actually completing the work is prioritized based on membership level, so that our Chief Legal Officer clients receive top priority.

We strive to have at least one attorney available for consultations within 2-3 business days; however, if you wish to work with a specific attorney, you may have to wait longer.

For the Registered Agent only, this is an annual fee. For all other subscriptions where Registered Agent is included, the Startup Fee includes the annual Registered Agent payment. Those that remain in a subscription with an included Registered Agent service for 12 months are not charged another fee for the RA Service. If you cancel during the first 12 months, then you will be converted to a Registered Agent Only Subscription and will be charged an annual fee on your 12-month renewal date.

The forms within the STBL Membership Library are provided for educational and informational purposes only.  We provide education in the form of tutorial videos and documents to assist you in determining what documents best suit your situation and if the document is adequate for your transaction.  

For legal advice as to the type of document you may need, a 15 Minute New Legal Consultation can be used to discuss the situation and suitability of the document.  Document Library Draft review is included in higher level memberships and for additional fees set forth in the membership benefits.  At that time, an attorney will advise as to suitability and content for the Members particular need. 

Not all Form documents can work in all situations and additional drafting may be required to meet the Member's needs.  Any additional work would be a Project and subject to discussion as to cost and time prior to any drafting. 

An Issue becomes a Project when we need to plan our work so that we can conduct research or analyze the law and the facts beyond quick phone calls or where drafting is required by our team. You won't incur these additional costs immediately. Your STBL Membership pays for your initial discussion(s) on the issue through an available 15 Minute New Legal Issue Consultation, and then we'll estimate the amount of work needed to move forward. In short, you'll know what you're getting into before we charger more. Unused project hours for each month expire at the end of the month. The monthly subscription fee shall be deemed earned on the first business day of each month and is not refundable. This is not a prepay legal service.
